Missions are tough. They are. Elder Nelson described it as "The hardest thing you'll ever love." There is a lot of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual tenacity required, and it takes some getting used to. It's been wearing down on me, and being locked in this building all day doesn't help. All of us Russian missionaries have had it tough, because we went full Russian language on Monday. But remembering the enabling power of the Atonement makes it ridiculously easy. President Packer suggested I read Alma's prayer in Alma 31 to cope with adversity. Spiritual bombshell right there.
Our investigator Annastasia got baptized and we picked up an "inactive member," Olga. She's very quiet but responds well.
Sunday revolved around charity and the Atonement. I love the Atonement and the Savior was willing to die so that we might choose to live. The Atonement is everything. No ordinance, covenant, or act is worth anything without the Atonement. The Atonement is the Gospel.
The language barrier is definitely real though. Elder Franckowiak told Olga he's studying at university to be a ball (he's doing pre-med) and Elder Jensen told an actual investigator that he has three kids. Oops. He also said "That's great" when told an investigator's grandma died.
We did receive a little more information on the new Russian law. We will not be allowed nametags except in Sunday meetings. The majority of work will be with members (there are a lot of "Sunday members" meaning people who are only there for the social aspect) and inactive members. Rumor has it we will hold multiple callings at a time and focus our efforts on the wards. As long as we are working hard and being obedient, the Lord will bless us with people to teach. Additionally, it has been asked of us that we no longer use the terms "missionary" and "Elder" in our correspondence to and from home and we were reminded that it is against Russian law to post pictures of Russian citizens. Please do your best to help me to be obedient to these standards!

Rock paper scissors is going good. Elder Franckowiak beat me out first round which was tough. As zone leaders except conduct meetings and help organize the park goals. PDay we went to the top of a tower (the one in the picture with the fountain) and took pictures and then I bought a few ties.
I am humbled with gratitude by the love and support I receive from friends, family, and the Savior. Until next week!
